The eWeigh works seamlessly with the iLivestock app for easy pairing and simple weighing, with our without EID.

How to pair your eWeigh to the iLivestock app

Step 1: Select 'Equipment' on the navigation bar at the bottom of the screen

and then tap the '+ Add device' under 'My Weigh Head(s)'

Step 2: A list of compatible weigh heads will be displayed - with the eWeigh at the top

Next tap the word 'PAIR' next to the eWeigh

Step 3: The eWeigh will start to pair with the iLivestock app

How to Setup your eWeigh once paired

Step 4: Once the pairing is complete the eWeigh will then show under your Weigh Head(s) and the green tick will confirm its paired.

Step 5: Tap the 'Go Weigh' button to be taken to the eWeigh Setup screen.

Here you choose the type of weighing that will happen based on your weighing process on farm.

  • Speed or Accuracy

We recommend 'Balanced' for the most common weighing scenario.

  • Weigh Bar / Load Cell Configuration

Select Weigh Bar/ Load Cell configuration depending on how many bars you are using.

  • Species Being Weighed

Select the relevant sheep or cattle that will be weighed - if using iLivestock for goats we recommend selecting sheep.

  • Weigh Bar Type

Use the scrolling list to find and select the relevant brand and size of the weigh bars / load cells you are using for the session.

Note: It is important for the eWeigh to know correct make/model and calibration of weigh bars/load cells. If you are unsure:

  • Blue cables suggest Tru-Test bars

  • Orange cables suggest Ritchie bars.

  • If you have a Rappa eWeighCrate, you should select 'eWeighBar600' or 'Tru-test Multipurpose' here.

Self Calibration

If you scroll to the bottom of the load cell selection list, you'll see the 'Self Calibration' option. If you are unsure of the weigh bars you are using, you can choose this option, then use a calibrating weight to calibrate the eWeigh yourself.

See guide to use the Self Calibration here πŸ‘‰ Self Calibration

Next tap 'GO WEIGH'

Step 6: You will now be taken to weigh screen and are ready to weigh!
