How to record compliance in the app, movements, deaths, and tag replacements.

Needing to move animal's from one holding to another? You will need to add a holding first. Had a death in your stock? Or lost a tag and need to replace it? Here is an overview of how to complete all these compliance tasks.


How to add a Holding:

  1. Navigate to the 'Admin' section at the bottom and press 'Manage Holdings'

  2. Tap the 'Cow Head'

  3. Choose 'Add New Holding'

  4. Fill in the form

  5. Tap 'Confirm'

  6. Tap 'Save'

Moving an animal:

  1. View the animal you wish to relocate

  2. Press the 'Cow Head' button and tap 'Actions'

  3. Select 'Compliance' and then 'Movement'

  4. Select Sale, Movement or Movement Internal.

  5. The movement form will open, fill in the details

  6. Press 'Save' and you will then be taken back to the Animal Summary

  7. Scroll down to the 'Events' header, and press the 'i' button to view the form

  8. From here you can email/share the movement or sale form

Moving a group of animals:

  1. Add the animals you wish to move together to a group. If they are already grouped, open the group.

  2. Press '>>>' and select 'Movement'.

  3. Select Sale, Movement or Movement Internal.

  4. The movement form will open to be filled in.

  5. Press 'Save' and you will then be taken back to the Animal Summary.

  6. Scroll down to the 'Events' header, and press the 'i' button to view the form.

  7. From here you can email/share the movement or sale form.

Recording an animal death:

  1. On the animal list find the animal by either scrolling, scanning the tag, or using the search bar, open the animal summary by tapping on chevron.

  2. Press the cows head button

  3. Choose 'Actions'

  4. Press 'Compliance'

  5. Then click 'Deaths'

  6. Enter the details of the death (the minimum requirement is a date)

Note:

The animal will now be automatically archived, this means it is taken from your animal list and moved into the archive group.

Reverse a death:

  1. Navigate to 'Groups', then make sure 'Permanent' is selected under the search bar, then go into 'Archive'.

  2. When in the 'Archive' folder, search to find the animal you are looking for, then click the chevron to enter the 'Animal Summary'.

  3. When in the 'Animal Summary' scroll down to 'Events' and find the 'Death' event.

  4. Click on the event, then in the pop up window click 'Delete', it will then ask if you are sure and let you know this action brings the animal back to life and into the main animal list.

  5. Once you have deleted the event, you will then be able to find the animal in the main animal list again.

How to register a lost tag(s) or replacement tag(s):

Lost Tags:

You can mark animals that have a lost tag by following these steps:

  1. Find the animal and click the chevron to view 'Animal Summary'.

  2. Press the floating circle 'Action button' and tap 'Actions>>>'.

  3. Select 'Compliance'.

  4. Choose 'Single Tag Lost' or 'BOTH Tags Lost'.

  5. The animal will now appear with an icon displaying an exclamation mark, so you can easily identify the animal with a missing tag

Replacement Tag:

How to replace a tag on an Animal:

  • When viewing the 'Animal Summary', if you scan a tag it'll popup asking if you want to replace the old tag with the new one you've scanned.

OR

  1. Press the floating circle 'Action button' and tap 'Actions>>>'.

  2. Select 'Compliance'.

  3. Tap 'Register Replacement Tag'.

    1. Choose 'Same' if the tag number is the same as the one that was lost.

    2. Choose 'Different' if it is a different tag ID number.

How to add breeds:

  1. Go to the 'Admin' section

  2. Select 'App Control'

  3. Tap 'Add Breeds'

  4. Choose 'Add Sheep Breed' or 'Add Cattle Breed'
