We know that sheep can lose their tags, and it's important to record this for compliance purposes. iLivestock can record lost tags and replacement tags for your sheep and store this information in a report format for compliance.

You can mark animals that have a lost tag by following these steps:

Step 4. Choose Single Tag Lost OR BOTH Tags Lost.

Step 5. The animal will now appear with an icon displaying an exclamation mark, so you can easily identify the animal with a missing tag. The Lost Tags record will also sit on the events timeline on the animal summary.

Step 6. Tap the Action button while on the Animal Summary screen and select Register Replacement Tag

Step 7. Choose Same if the tag number is the same as the one that was lost OR choose Different if it is a different tag ID number.

Note: If choosing Different, you can select an Unassigned Tag from iLivestock to allocate to this animal from your iLivestock database. You'll need to have unassigned tags in your database first. See the Unassigned Tags guide.

Step 9. Enter the Tag ID manually, which will prompt you to enter a Flock and Animal number with your 6-digit flock number and your 5-digit, unique animal ID.

Then tap Okay to save the new Tag details.

Step 10. Your Tag details are now updated, and the Lost Tag and Replacement Tag details will be stored in your Lost Tags Report in the iLivestock Dashboard part of your account.

How to replace a tag for an animal and record but not register the replacement Tag.

Step 1. Find and open the Animal Summary screen

Step 2. With your EID reader connected, scan the new EID Tag. The app will then show a pop-up that will ask you 'Do you want to replace the tag for this animal?'

Step 3. Tap Confirm to accept the change

Your EID will now be updated for this animal, but this will not be recorded on the Tag Replacement Report
