eWeigh Pairing/Connecting

  1. Turn on your eWeigh, then open the app and navigate to the 'Equipment Menu' on the bottom right of the screen.

  2. Under 'My Weigh Heads' click '+ Add Device'. Then click 'Pair' next to 'eWeigh'.

  3. Your eWeigh should then pair, and appear under 'My Weigh Heads' on the equipment menu with a green tick.

  4. Your eWeigh will now always appear under 'My Weigh Heads'. The next time you want to pair it, simply turn it on and press 'Pair' here.

eWeigh Set Up

The pink at the top of the screen indicates you have an eWeigh connected (green means you have an eWeigh and stick reader connected).

  • Speed or Accuracy?

This is for how fast the eWeigh locks in the weight of the animal. 'Speed' being less accurate but locking in fast, 'Accuracy' locks in slowly but is the most accurate, and 'Balanced' is the best of both worlds (we recommend using balanced).

  • Weigh Bar/Load Cell Configuration

This refers to what plugs you are using on the eWeigh. If you are looking at the eWeigh straight on (looking at the sticker side with the writing the correct way up) the 'Left Only', 'Both', and 'Right Only' options refers to the plugs on the bottom of the eWeigh. So, this should be set to where you have you bar cable/cables plugged into the bottom of the eWeigh, it is VERY IMPORTANT you select the right option so you get accurate weigh results.

  • Species Being Weighed

    What species are you weighing.

  • Weigh Bar Type

Selecting what weigh bars you have, this is important for the eWeigh knowing what calibration to be at. If you are unsure, blue cables suggests Tru-Test bars, orange cables suggests Ritchie. If you have a Rappa Race-Weigh you would select 'Tru-test Multipurpose' here.

If you scroll to the bottom, you have a 'Self Calibration option'. So if you are unsure what your bars are, you can choose this option then use a calibrating weight to calibrate the eWeigh yourself. Here is how: Self Calibration

Once you are set up you can start weighing! Here is an article to explain how:

Turn off your eWeigh by holding in the on/off button for about 3 seconds.
