Linking Sire and Dam to an Animal

If you are buying in animals or not using the breeding record feature for your births, you can add the Dam and Sire data to offspring to keep your records as detailed as possible.

Step 1. Search or scan the animal and click the chevron to open up the Animal Summary.

Step 2. Once in the Animal Summary, click on the Action button and tap on Animal Details from the options menu.

Step 3. Scroll down to the Breeding section.

Next to the Sire or DAM field, click on the + button to bring up a picker wheel of existing sires or dams on your account

Step 4. Alternatively, click into the empty field to manually type in passport number of a sire or dam that does not exist on your account.

Step 5. When you have added the information, tap Save at the top right of the screen.

Step 6. This will then take you back to the main animal summary screen.

Note: If you use the '+' to link an animal, it will change to an 'i' and you can tap on this to open the Animal Summary of the linked animal.
