Overview of medicating in iLivestock, how to open add medicines, then medicate single or groups of animals.

Needing to update your medicine stock? Or, need to medicate one animal or a group at the time so you don't need to think about it again? Here is all things medicating on iLivestock.


How to add new Medicines:

  1. Go to the 'Admin' section

  2. Select 'Manage Medicines'

  3. Tap 'Add from Database'

  4. Search for your medicine and select.

  5. Fill in the remaining details

  6. Tap 'Confirm' and then 'Save'

How to medicate Animals:

Individually:

  1. Find the animal in your Animal list by searching or using your EID scanner, then open pressing on the chevron on the animal tile

  2. Once in the 'Animal Summary' press the floating action button and select 'Actions'

  3. Select 'Medicate'

  4. From here, fill in the required details and 'Save'

As a Group:

  1. Create a new group, or find the existing groups, by going to 'Groups' on the bottom navigation bar.

  2. Once you have clicked the chevron to enter the group you want to medicate tap on the circle 'Action button' on the bottom right of the screen.

  3. You can then select 'Medicate' and fill our the details.

  4. You then hit 'Save', and this medication event will be added to all the animals in the group.

Adding ailments to the app:

  1. Go to 'Admin' on the bottom navigation bar, then, 'Manage Medicines' > 'Ailments'

  2. Press the circle action '>>>' button

  3. Enter details and select species, then 'Save'

  4. Any ailments you add here will appear when you go to assign one to an animal when medicating.

Withdrawal:

When an animal is medicated with the course option, the animal won't come out of the withdrawal view until the course has been set as 'FINISHED' by the user.

When an animal is medicated with 'one shot treatment', the withdrawal date will conclude on the date calculated by the amount of days that is set for withdrawal within that particular medicine details.
