Creating a Sheep Breeding Record

How to create a breeding record for individual ewes or groups of sheep. For adding tupping info, and for adding lambs and lambing info.

How to Create an Individual Breeding Record:

  1. Open the 'animal summary' of the sheep

  2. Press the circle 'action button' button on the bottom right.

  3. Choose 'Actions'

  4. Then 'Breeding' - the breeding form will open like below.

  5. Enter in the details and press 'Save'.

  6. This will now be saved in the 'Animal Summary' you can go into the breeding record by clicking the 'i' and continue to edit this once the ewe has lambed.


Adding lambs to a Breeding Record:

  • You can scan the lambs tag when on the breeding record screen, as above, to add the lamb. Or to add manually or an add an existing animal on iLivestock, tap under 'Offspring'.

  • Once you have added the offspring, you can click the blue 'i' next to its number in the breeding record to open the 'Animal Summary' and edit its details.

  • When you have all the details you need, you can press 'Finish

Caution: You cannot edit a finished breeding record! Make sure you are absolutely certain the information is true before 'finishing' the record.


Creating a Breeding Record for a group of sheep:

  1. Find and then view group.

  2. Press the 'Action Button (>>>)' while in the group.

  3. Select 'Breeding', the breeding form will open.

  4. Enter in the details and press 'Save'.

  5. After the group breeding record is saved, you can add lambs to the individual records.

  6. Once your lambing record is complete press 'Finish This Breeding'.

Caution: You cannot edit a finished breeding record! Make sure you are absolutely certain the information is true before 'finishing' the record.
