Wanting a specific group of animals together on your app, for example a field of animals, or a breeding group? Here is how to create a group and add animals, move animals between groups, removing animals from groups, and deleting groups.
How to create a new Group:
This process is the same for sheep and cattle.
Navigate to 'Groups' at the bottom bar.
Switch to the cattle or sheep tab at the top (under search bar).
Press the circle floating 'Action Button' and select 'Add Cattle Group' (or sheep).
Give it a name and complete any notes - press 'Save'!
You can then add animals by scanning tags with your connected EID reader with the group open, or by following the steps below.
How to add animals to a new or existing group:
Navigate to the main 'Animal List' on the left of the bottom navigation bar.
Highlight the animals in green you want to add to a group by tapping on them to highlight them in green (you can use the search bar to find them!).
Click the circle 'Action button' in the bottom right of the screen.
You can then select 'Add to Group' if the group already exists in the app, or 'Add to NEW Group' to add them to a new group.

How to move animals from one group to another:
Find the group (you can use the search bar), click the chevron to enter the group you wish to move animals from.
Highlight the animals you wish to move by tapping on them (find them by using the search bar or scan then with a reader while in the group).
Once you have highlighted the animals you want to move, tap the floating 'Action Button >>' on the bottom right of the screen.
Then on the pop up screen tap 'Copy/Move To Group'.
Then select the group you want to move them to.
You can either 'Move' them, removing them from the group you are currently in and adding them to the other. Or 'Copy' them, which moves them into the other group and keeps them in the current group.
How to remove animals from a group:
Click the chevron to enter the group you wish to remove animals from.
Find the animals you wish to remove by using the search bar or scan then with a reader while in the group.
Swipe from right to left on the animal to reveal 'Remove from Group'.
Tap on 'Remove from Group' and the animal will be removed from that group.

Copying:
Select the groups you want to copy by tapping them to highlight them in green.
Then click the floating 'Action Button >>' and you will have the options to copy the groups.
Merging:
Select the groups you want to merge by tapping them to highlight them in green.
Then click the floating 'Action Button >>' and then you have the options to merge groups.
i. The top option is to merge the groups to make a new group and delete the original groups.
ii. The second option is to merge the groups and keep the original groups.
FYI - One animal can be in multiple groups, and will stay as one animal summary. Using functions like this will not make multiple copies of your animals.
How to delete a group:
Find your group in the list (you can use the search bar)
Swipe from right to left on the group in the list view, tap on 'Delete Group'.
FYI- This does not delete the animals within the group, just removed the group from your list.
