Here is how to connect your RS420 stick reader. Also, how to turn continuous read mode on and off.

Connecting iOS (Apple) devices:

  1. Open the 'Equipment Menu' on the app on your device. Tap 'Add Device' under 'My EID Readers', then click pair next to 'RS420'. This will open up your devices bluetooth settings, make sure bluetooth is on. (if it doesn't open the bluetooth settings navigate to the bluetooth settings)

  2. Search for new devices on your RS420 and select your device name

    1. Hold down top button on reader

    2. Use the bottom button to move "Bluetooth Settings"

    3. Select 'Select Device'

    4. Select 'Search for new device'

    5. Select the device from the list.

  3. Confirm the pairing request on your mobile device

  4. If it does not say 'Connected' on your bluetooth settings, tap on it to connect. After, your RS420 should be showing a solid bluetooth symbol with a small "m" next to it, this means it's connected. If it's flashing it's not connected yet.

  5. When you open up iLivestock, the top bar will be blue to confirm you have the stick reader connected successfully, and the reader will now appear under 'My EID Readers'
